Dance as we know it is enjoyed by most everyone.  It is one way in which people are able to relax and have a good time.  In Africa, dance isn’t as lighthearted; it transcends the ordinary.  It is an expression of spirituality.  African dancing is a custom strongly associated with all the important aspects of the African community.  Through dance, the African culture is passed on from generation to generation.  Dance preserves their legacy!
